Nicola Sturgeon has slammed Theresa May, questioning the Prime Ministers's legitimacy. The current hostalites arise due to suggestions the PM will delay a referendum on Scottish Independence.

Sturgeon stated that her election as First Minister was on a clear manifesto, and her commitments relating to a Scottish Referendum on Independence, and she added that "May is not elected by anyone"

This beautiful reminder that May speak's for no one but herself, especially regarding Scotland. Theresa May is yet to faced endorsement at the hands of the public at a general election, worse yet even by members of her own party.

Its clear that Ms Sturgeon has been the democratically elected leader of SNP ( Pàrtaidh Nàiseanta na h-Alba ) since 2014 and speaks for the scottish people with a greater share of scottish votes than the Conversative Party or any other party for that matter.

A quick overview of GE2015 shows SNP at 46.5%, with Conservatives at only 36.9%, while the 2014 referendum was a 45% result for Indepedence a lot has changed since then.

So to further emphasize that last June's Brexit Referendum showed 62% of scots voted to remain in Europe, suggesting that the possibility of a Hard Brexit would lead to a huge swing in favour of Independence.

This is something SNP has argued that Theresa May can't dispute, and its felt that the political will of Scottish people is being ignored.

It has now been suggested that Westminster will not authorize a referendum until after Brexit, May has accused the Scottish leader of "playing games and said the SNP has tunnel vision".

Ms Sturgeon has argued the vote had to be held between autumn 2018 and spring 2019 – before it was “too late” but after “the terms of Brexit are known”.

However, it now seems the argument is falling on deaf ears and its thought likely that Downing Street will block to move by SNP which requires the approval of both Houses of Parliament in Westminster.
